Systems use low-velocity and high-pressure to convey material plugs though enclosed pipes, protecting the environment and product from mutual contamination.
Application:
Dense-phase batch conveying (ash, pea coal, platinum concentrates, etc.)
Dense-phase continuous conveying (furnace feed and injection systems)
Benefits:
Savings in piping, maintenance (50-80%) and energy (30-50%) as a result of:
Minimum power requirement, pipeline wear and product degradation due to ultra low conveying velocities.
Small standard pipes, reduced equipment and use of easily-obtainable standard compressed air, requiring less standby equipment.
Systems discharge granular material from one or many points and are economical and efficient for conveying relatively low tonnages over short routes. They are designed as pressure or vacuum systems.
Application:
Used for special requirements.
Benefits:
Low headroom at pick-up points.
Little or no ‘dusting’. Leaks are inward.
Clean and reliable technology.
Can be designed to handle varying particle sizes.
Dense phase
Dune flow dense phase
Moving bed dense phase
Lean phase
CBZ Solutions provides a range of pumps and pressure vessels according to the material and conveying distance.
PD Pump: efficient system for fine powders.
CD Pump: semi-continuous dense phase system.
D Pump: pressure controlled system.
TD Pump: high capacity, long distances, batch system for fine powders.
Multi PD Pump: efficient system for fine powders and coarse fly ash
All dense-phase vessel assemblies are supplied with Dome Valve, electro-pneumatic controls and air supply piping, strainer, pressure regulation and control equipment.

The unique pressure tight sealing arrangement is achieved by using an inflatable seal, which is automatically inflated on closure of the valve and deflated upon opening.
Nominal bores ranging from 50 – 400 mm as standard.
Temperature range from -20 to 450 °C.
High availability over 3,000,000 cycles between major overhauls and 1,000,000 cycles for seal replacement.
The Dome Valve is available in the following versions:
Standard Bulkhead
Top Inlet Adaptor
Bottom Outlet Adaptor
Inline
While the Dome is usually produced in SG iron, user options include both raw material and surface coating, both internal and external.
Offers the same high performance and durability benefits of the Dome Valve
Application:
Provide material routing where a system is delivering to multiple reception points in different locations.
Can also be used to connect incoming pipelines together.
The selection of valve type depends on the material and conveying application.
Application:
Diverts the material flow from a single source to one of two destinations.
A series of valves placed within the transfer pipe directs flow to many destinations.
Dump Valves and Terminal Boxes are easily interchanged. Both are available to suit a range of pipe diameters from 80 mm to 350 mm.
Application:
Form the termination of the material transfer pipe.
Control entry of the material into the chosen reception hopper.
The ROTOFEED pneumatic injection handles wet or dry, powder or granular material and is applied in systems where direct material feed is required.
Application:
Injection of coal, other fuels and limestone into the reinjection of ashes and grits into fluidised bed combustors.
Injection of limestone into FGD process.
Benefits:
Continuous injection at smooth, easily controlled rates, with accuracies ±2.0% by volume and against back pressures ≥ 20 barg.
Conveying rates of up to 100 tph over distances up to 500 m.
Low air consumption and high materials-to-air ratio.
CBZ Solutions supplies impact weighers, based on FlowForce’s innovative magnetic techniques, allowing hazardous materials to be metered and cleaning-in-place without damaging the sensor. The unit can be customised and operated in local or remote mode.
Application:
Measures mass flowrate of bulk solids and powders.
Benefits:
Simple, compact and accurate mass flow meter.
As it is extremely rugged, no routine maintenance or mechanical adjustment required.
Ash conditioners reduce the ash released into the air prior to disposal. Mixer paddle angle and shaft speed are changed to suit process requirements and alternate paddle materials address corrosion, wear and material build-up.
Benefits:
The intersecting mixer paddle design ensures thorough mixing of dust and moisture, while the low speed mixer minimizes paddle wear and control mixer residence time.
External mounting of components provides ease of maintenance and inspection.
